Committees

Art in Public Spaces is supported through a Public Art Strategy and Nomination Committee, comprised of experts in the art field. This committee explores and develops opportunities for commissions; reviews and make recommendations on artworks for loan or acquisition; and determines priorities and approaches to object conservation. The University Public Art Committee, made up of a cross-section of UChicago faculty and staff, reviews proposed works with an eye to their contributions to the campus.
